LEVEL 2: Pistol
Utilizing the SIG (Simple Is Good) principle of handgun training, this course takes students through the efficient and safe use of a handgun thoroughly taught in a relaxed, hands-on environment.
Prerequisite: Level 1 Pistol fundamentals or its equivalent. The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun.
Topics to be covered:
Draw process from the holster and re-holstering
Grip
Utilizing our natural point of aim
Administrative and in service loading and unloading
Single hand shooting
Clearing malfunctions
Course fee: $225 + range fee
Duration: 5 hours
Estimated round count: 250 rounds of ammunition
Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training with no refund.
What to bring:
Handgun
Correct holster must cover trigger guard (No leather, nylon or serpa holsters)
NO MICRO OR POCKET PISTOLS
Magazine pouches
3 magazines
Sturdy belt
Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
Weather appropriate clothing (no low necklines, no sandals or open toe shoes)
Wraparound eyewear
Recommend electronic hearing protection or earmuffs and earplugs
