LEVEL 2: Pistol

Utilizing the SIG (Simple Is Good) principle of handgun training, this course takes students through the efficient and safe use of a handgun thoroughly taught in a relaxed, hands-on environment.


Prerequisite: Level 1 Pistol fundamentals or its equivalent.  The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun.

Topics to be covered:

  • Draw process from the holster and re-holstering

  • Grip

  • Utilizing our natural point of aim

  • Administrative and in service loading and unloading

  • Single hand shooting

  • Clearing malfunctions

 

Course fee: $225 + range fee

Duration: 5 hours

Estimated round count: 250 rounds of ammunition

Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training with no refund.

 

What to bring:

  • Handgun

  • Correct holster must cover trigger guard (No leather, nylon or serpa holsters)

  • NO MICRO OR POCKET PISTOLS

  • Magazine pouches

  • 3 magazines

  • Sturdy belt

  • Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning

  • Weather appropriate clothing (no low necklines, no sandals or open toe shoes)

  • Wraparound eyewear

  • Recommend electronic hearing protection or earmuffs and earplugs
